After graduating from the University of Zaragoza, Domingo completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center (Manchester) and worked at two large hospitals in the UK where he obtained RCVS Certificates in Small Animal Medicine and Veterinary Cardiology. Then, in 2006, he joined the University of Bristol as a resident where he carried out two residency programs for 7 years: in Small Animal Internal Medicine first and then in Veterinary Cardiology, which led him to become a double graduate and specialist in Medicine Small Animal Internal (ECVIM) and Veterinary Cardiology (RCVS). He remained at the University of Bristol Small Animal Hospital until 2016 as a cardiologist first and then as head of the cardiology service. After 18 months working at Dick White Referrals, In February 2018, he joined Southfields Veterinary Specialists as Head of Cardiology and Cardiopulmonary Service, which he combined with being a professor and clinician in Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine at the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV). Domingo has joined the team of the Catholic University of Valencia full time as a professor and Head of the Cardiology, Respiratory and Interventional Cardiology Service at his hospital in April 2020.

He is also completing a part-time PhD, studying the cardiovascular and arrhythmogenic effects of Leishmania Infantum. Domingo has published many scientific articles, has written book chapters in Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine, and has received research grants. He has also given many lectures at national and international conferences. Domingo's main areas of interest include arrhythmias, interventionism, and the interaction between cardiac and respiratory conditions.
