Bryden Stanley is Emerita Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University. She graduated Murdoch University, Australia in the 1980s. Her ACVS surgery residency and Master’s degree was from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. At MSU, Stanley’s main research was in respiratory diseases in dogs, wound healing and cutaneous reconstruction. Since retiring from MSU in 2021, she has been working in specialist private practice at the Animal Surgical Center of Michigan. Stanley’s clinical interests are in all aspects of soft tissue surgery, particularly upper respiratory, wound management and cutaneous reconstructive techniques. She is well published, speaks frequently at conferences globally and is currently President of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
