Brenda graduated from the University of Utrecht (the Netherlands) in 2002. She completed an internship at Dierenkliniek Emmeloord. After this she worked for eDigit, where she mainly focused on pre-purchase and orthopedic examinations. In 2006, she started working for Diergeneeskundig Centrum Oisterwijk where she became a partner a year later. As of 2016, she is part of the team at SMDC. Dr Hoogelander passed the ISELP examination in 2017. She successfully completed Focus on the Equine Spine (FES) and is a certified chiropractor. To gain more insight into the effect of teeth and teeth related problems on equine performances, Dr Hoogelander completed the NVVGP certified dentist program. For 10 years Dr Hoogelander has been the team veterinarian for the Dutch Paradressage team which became World Champion in 2018.
