Dr. Craig Clifford is a graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received an MS degree in Animal Science/Virology from the University of Delaware. After completing an internship and a medical oncology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, he became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) in 2003. He is a medical oncologist and director of Clinical Studies at Blue Pearl Malvern in Pennsylvania.

He is active in clinical research within a referral setting and serves as an advisory board member with both industry and non-profit foundations. He is a renowned oncologist who has authored/co-authored over 70 papers and book chapters. He is a frequent lecturer at major veterinary meetings in the USA and abroad. Dr. Clifford is a member of the VCA Pet Cancer Care Alliance Committee and has served on the VCS executive board, ACVIM Exam Rating Committee, Residency Training and Credentials Committee, Oncology Pathology Working Group, Co-chair of the Standards of Excellence in Residency Education Task Force and an Examiner for the Australian Scientist’s Oncology Specialty Exam. 

Dr. Heidi Lobprise is a Veterinary Dentist that has been a member of the Main Street Veterinary Hospital medical staff since April of 2010. Born in Gary, Indiana, she grew up in Orlando, Florida and then Richardson, Texas, where she graduated from Richardson High School.

Dr. Lobprise says that she knew from age seven that she wanted to spend her life as a veterinarian simply because she has always loved animals. She began her journey toward her current career at Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science in 198 and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. Her areas of special professional focus include dentistry and senior care. She is also a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC.) Dr. Lobprise is the author/co-author of several dental and senior care texts and has lectured internationally.

She has served on a short-term mission trip to Mongolia through Christian Veterinary Missions and hopes to travel to other destinations. Dr. Lobprise and her ‘hubby-wubby', Joe Kautz, a gunsmith, have a Greyhound named Buddy and two cats named George and Spot. Dr. Lobprise’s daughter Holly, is a financial analyst currently in NYC but moving to South Africa.

Dr. Julius Liptak has a passion and commitment to surgical oncology. He developed this interest prior to and during his residency training in Australia. Dr. Liptak was then selected as Fellow in Surgical Oncology at the Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University, the best recognized and one of the only training programs in the world for veterinary surgical oncologists. Dr. Liptak is an internationally recognized surgical oncologist. He is the co-editor of the seminal veterinary oncology textbook, Withrow and MacEwen's Small Animal Clinical Oncology, with Drs. Vail and Thamm. With three colleagues, Dr. Liptak is also writing the first edition of A Color Atlas of Surgical Oncology of Dogs and Cats. He has over 100 publications in veterinary and human peer-reviewed journals and veterinary textbooks; and is either the first or supervising author on seminal papers on oncologic diseases such as hepatocellular carcinoma, retroperitoneal sarcomas, and chest wall tumors, and surgical procedures including chest wall resections and reconstructions, rectal pull-throughs, and ventral bulla osteotomies.

Dr. Liptak was the founding President of the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology. In 2010 he was awarded the Stephen J. Withrow Award for Advancing the Art and Science of Surgical Oncology. In 2012, Dr. Liptak became an ACVS Founding Fellow in Surgical Oncology - one of four in Canada and less than 70 in the world. In 2020, Dr. Liptak was accepted as a RCVS Specialist in Surgical Oncology, one of six in the world. His main interests centre around musculoskeletal oncology and include bone tumors, maxillofacial surgery for oral tumors, chest wall resection and reconstruction for rib tumors, and soft tissue sarcomas, but also soft tissue tumors such as apocrine gland anal sac adenocarcinomas. Dr. Liptak is one of the pioneers in sentinel lymph node mapping and using patient-specific, customized 3D-printed titanium prostheses for oncologic reconstructions.

Dr. Liptak is committed to providing optimum care for animals with cancer and their owners, continuing to provide education to veterinary professionals to optimize the treatment of cancer in animals, and improving the outcome for animals (and people) with cancer through education and research.

Michelle Turek is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Wisconsin. She received her DVM from the University of Montreal and completed residencies in medical and radiation oncology at the University of Wisconsin. Michelle practiced at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, and then at the University of Georgia. In 2013, Michelle returned to the University of Wisconsin where she works as a radiation oncologist, researcher and instructor of radiation oncology and communication.

Dr. William Culp graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation from veterinary school, he remained at the University of Pennsylvania to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery followed by a surgical residency. Dr. Culp is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and he has pursued additional training in cancer surgery at the Colorado State University Animal Cancer Center, during which he completed a Surgical Oncology Fellowship.

Additionally, he has completed an Interventional Radiology/Endoscopy Fellowship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Culp was selected as an ACVS Founding Fellow of Surgical Oncology in 2012, an ACVS Founding Fellow of Minimally Invasive Surgery in 2017 and an ACVS Founding Fellow of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2021. Dr. Culp is currently a member of the Soft Tissue Surgery service at the University of California - Davis. He is interested in many areas of soft tissue surgery, but his major focuses are surgical oncology and interventional radiology.
