Dr. Jesty received her veterinary degree from Cornell University in 2001. She spent two years at New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania, doing a fellowship in large animal cardiology and ultrasonography. She completed a large animal internal medicine residency at New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania and then returned to Cornell University for a cardiology residency. Dr. Jesty then spent two years doing a fellowship in cardiac regenerative medicine at Cornell University. She spent two years in New York City as an associated cardiologist and medical director at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Jesty then joined the faculty at the University of Tennessee, where she was an assistant professor in cardiology. In 2015, she started working as a cardiologist at Charleston Veterinary Center in South Carolina. Dr. Jesty has given numerous lectures and labs, both internationally and nationally. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and is an associate editor for the ‘Journal of Veterinary Cardiology’. Her interests include cardiopulmonary exercise physiology, interventional procedures, and electrophysiology.
