Dr. Simona Buoncompagni's expertise lies in internal medicine, ultrasound, and extracorporeal therapies. Her career has taken her across continents, starting in Italy, where she graduated with honors with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2002. She continued her academic pursuits with a Master's degree in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy of Small Animals.

Dr. Buoncompagni’s commitment to excellence led her to the United States, where she completed a Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at Oklahoma State University. She holds numerous certifications, including ACVIM Small Animal Internal Medicine Board Certification, hemodialysis certification from the University of California, Davis, and Clinical Fellowship Certification in Urinary Disease & Extracorporeal Therapies from the University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Buoncompagni has held clinical positions worldwide throughout her career, leaving a lasting impact at each institution. Notably, she founded Veterinary Internal Medicine Express (VIME), a pioneering mobile internal medicine referral service in Oklahoma.

An avid educator, Dr. Buoncompagni has lectured internationally and contributed to veterinary literature, reflecting her dedication to advancing the field. Currently, she serves as a Clinician in Internal Medicine, Ultrasound, and Extracorporeal Therapies at Miami Veterinary Specialist, where she continues to uphold the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence.
