Farrier

Richard is a professional farrier with almost 20 years of experience. His experience includes clinical work as well as being the Western show horse farrier for Texas Christian University. For many years now Richard has shod horses for some of the nation’s top performance horse barns, amongst them multiple world champions. Currently, Richard is the resident farrier for Peaceful Valley Donkey rescue where he trims, shoes, and handles the podiatric needs of over 100 donkeys per month. His vast experience with donkeys has led him to speak at UC Davis and the Donkey Welfare Symposium.
