Rachel completed an honours degree in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh before going to vet school at the Royal Veterinary College in London. She graduated as a veterinary surgeon in 2009 and then moved to Sydney to undertake an internship at Randwick Equine Centre. She stayed on at the practice following her internship and spent two years doing predominantly race track practice. Having been a keen event rider herself she then developed the sports horse aspect of the practice and completed a residency to become a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2016. She is now a senior associate at Randwick Equine Centre and focuses on racing and sports horse work. Her main interests are diagnostic imaging, lameness and rehabilitation.
