Peter Milner

Peter graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 1997 and worked in general practice for 3 years. Between 2000 and 2003, he worked at the University of Cambridge as Resident in Equine Clinical Studies. He then stayed at Cambridge for a further 3 years to complete a HBLB-funded PhD in “Cellular physiology of articular cartilage” before moving to the University of Liverpool in 2006 in his current post as Lecturer in Equine Orthopaedics. Peter is interested in all aspects of equine orthopaedics and imaging and his current research involves subjects including cellular mechanisms of disease in osteoarthritis, chronic pain pathways in the horse, the use of MRI as a prognostic tool in equine orthopaedics and how external hoof proportions are related to disease.
