Padraig graduated from UCD in 2005 and following two years working in mixed practice in the UK he undertook a surgical internship at Fethard Equine Hospital, Ireland. He then worked in Cambridge Equine Hospital, New Zealand prior to a completing a four-year ECVS residency and masters program at the University of Glasgow. He is currently a lecturer in Equine surgery at the University of Liverpool. Research and clinical interests include diagnostic imaging of the head and upper portion of the respiratory tract with a primary focus on dynamic endoscopic and ultrasonographic examination of the URT in the Juvenile Thoroughbred racehorse.
