Olivier graduated in 1992 from the Université de Liège. After 4 years in mixed private practice he entered an ACVS and ECVS standard residency program in Large Animal Surgery at the Université de Montréal, Québec, Canada. In 2000 he obtained a Diplôme d'Etudes Spécialisées Vétérinaires from the Université de Montréal and returned to Belgium to join the De Bosdreef-De Morette group of equine referral clinics. After 16 years in the private sector, Olivier decided to return to academy and joined The University of Adelaide, Adelaide, South Australia as Senior Lecturer in Equine Surgery and Clinic Lead of the Equine Health and Performance Centre.

Special interests: minimally invasive surgery (orthopedic and soft tissue), sub-chondral cyst-like lesions, regenerative therapy, post-operative rehabilitation.
