Myriam qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover in 2000 and went on to work as a scientific assistant in the equine clinic.  She received a doctor´s degree in 2003, followed by the degree of specialist in equine medicine in 2006 and specialist in equine ophthalmology in 2009. Following her clinical employment, Myriam became partner in an equine ambulatory practice in Wedemark, northern Germany where her main focus is ophthalmologic patients. In addition she works as a consultant for equine ophthalmology for private equine clinics and the equine clinic of the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. Myriam has published several clinical articles in veterinary journals and lectures regularly at national and international courses/conferences on equine ophthalmology.
