Kylie graduated from the University of Sydney in 1999 with first class honours after completing a research degree focusing on respiratory disease in Thoroughbred racehorses in 1997. In 2004 she was admitted as a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Surgery. Kylie completed her specialist surgery training under Dr Nick Kannegieter and in 2011 was admitted as a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in equine surgery. She has worked at WestVETS Equine Hospital since early 2012. She enjoys combining her veterinary interest and passion for riding horses by riding trackwork at Eagle Farm 6 days a week before work.
