Dr. Kim Allshouse is originally from Dagus Mines, Pennsylvania. She grew up riding and competing locally before deciding to move to Rhode Island to attend Johnson and Wales University. She then built a career caring for and training horses in barns in the United States and Germany. She decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine after several years of working professionally in the equine industry.

Dr. Allshouse graduated from veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin in 2018, she then pursued an internship at Texas A&M. After completing her internship, Dr. Allshouse then decided to return to New England where she practiced general equine medicine in the greater Boston area for several years before deciding to focus exclusively on dentistry. She is currently an associate veterinarian at Northeast Equine Veterinary Dental Services as well as a second-year resident in Equine Dentistry and Oral Surgery through the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC). In her free time, she and her partner, Matt, enjoy hiking, scuba diving, traveling, and generally exploring New England.
