Giulia Di Garbo studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University College in Munich, where in 2015 she obtained her veterinary degree. She stayed two years at the surgical department of the University Equine Clinic in Munich. She was working together with Prof. Dr. Hartmut Gerhards, one of the leading equine ophthalmologists in Germany. Since 2017 Giulia has been working at the Equine Clinic Parsdorf GmbH in the east of Munich, where she is part of the centre for equine ophthalmology (Leader: Dr. Stefan Gesell-May). In February 2022 Dr. Di Garbo received her specialization in German equine ophthalmology (Zusatzbezeichnung Augenheilkunde Pferd).
