Francina graduated from ´the University of Madrid (Alfonso X el Sabio), Spain, in 2012 and moved to Ireland to complete an internship in neonatal intensive care. She subsequently completed an rotational equine internship in the University of Liverpool before moving to Scotland to start an equine surgery residency programme with a combined masters degree in July of 2015. The focus of her masters thesis was the diagnosis and progression of recurrent laryngeal neuropathy. Her current research interests involve upper airway surgery and diagnosis and wound management.
