Flavio graduated in Veterinary Medicine at PUCPR (Curitiba, PR-Brazil), pursued a 2-years residency program in Veterinary Anesthesiology at UFPR (Curitiba, PR-Brazil), followed by a Master's in veterinary sciences at the same institution, with a focus in Veterinary Anesthesiology and Ultrasound-Guided Local blocks. Flavio then relocated to Canada, to undertake a Anesthesia Residency and Doctor of Veterinary Sciences at the Ontario Veterinary College (Guelph, ON-Canada).  Upon completion, Flavio started the Anesthesia Service and was the Veterinarian responsible for anesthesia and pain clinic at the Veterinary Specialty Centre of Newfoundland and Labrador (Mount Pearl, NL-Canada).  Concurrently he also worked as Anesthesiologist Locum at the University of Guelph and University of Montreal.  Flavio has now joined the team at King Animal Hospital, as anesthesiologist for small and large animals, as well as Pain Clinic lead.  Flavio has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia since 2023.  He has an interest in veterinary anesthesiology and analgesia in all species and focuses on ultrasound-guided local anesthetic techniques.
