David has more than 40 years of leadership experience in developing and launching novel medical imaging devices. Since 2016, David has served as the co-founder and CEO of Asto CT, leading the development and commercial launch of Equina®, the world’s-first biaxial CT scanner customized to image the distal limbs and head/neck of a standing sedated horse.

Prior to founding Asto CT, David was a chief scientist and R&D leader at GE Healthcare where he brought multiple FDA cleared medical imaging products to market. David came to GE Healthcare through the acquisition of Lunar, where David led the engineering and R&D efforts to develop practice changing bone densitometry imaging technology.

David holds an Adjunct Professor position with UW -Madison Medical Physics since 2020. David's current focus is on improving the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the distal limb and diseases of the head and neck in horses.
