Chris qualified from the Worshipful Company of Farriers in 1997 after completing a 4-year apprenticeship and attending the Hereford School of Farriery. Whilst starting and running his own farrier practice in Kent, England, Chris continued his education by working with a number of eminent farriers and veterinary surgeons and attended many clinics and conferences. In 2006, Chris sat the Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers exam and passed with Honours. Shortly after this he started working with Bell Equine veterinary clinic in Kent as their resident farrier. Chris also became a member of the Equine Lameness Prevention organization and now holds all of the certifications the organisation offers. He is also sits on the Board of Directors. Chris is heavily involved in several research projects and lectures around the world on many farriery subjects.
