Carolyn Arnold is a Professor of Equine Surgery. She grew up in Southeastern Michigan and attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University from 1994-1998. After an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in central Kentucky, she completed a Large Animal Surgical Residency at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center in 2003. She joined the faculty at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University as a large animal surgeon from 2006-2022. In 2020, she completed a PhD at Texas A&M studying the affects of antimicrobials on the equine hind gut microbiome.
