Birgit Frühauf qualified from the Hannover Veterinary School, Germany in 1992. From 1992 to 1998 she performed an Internship and a Residency at the Equine Hospital at Hannover Veterinary School. During this time she specialized in Equine Ophthalmology. Following this Dr. Frühauf worked as an equine practitioner in private practice in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Since 2000 she has worked in her own practice in Schotten, Germany mostly as a consultant for Equine Ophthalmology for several practitioners and equine hospitals.
