Dr. Alonso Guedes is a DVM, PhD and board certified specialist in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia, with a mission of advancing science so that animals and people can live better lives. His overarching research focuses on developing novel pain therapies with current work focusing on spinal cord pain signaling, and developing strategies to mitigate the impact of opioid use disorder, with current work focusing on immunotherapies and non-invasive respiratory support devices.
