ONLINE LECTURE SERIES CONTENT
This course was devised for equine practitioners with a good working knowledge in equine ophthalmology and provides an update on recent developments in the field. The speaker panel consisting of 2 of the most highly respected and experienced equine ophthalmologists worldwide will be discussing the current thinking on pathophysiology of different conditions affecting the equine eye and will cover established and recently developed cutting-edge diagnostic / therapeutic techniques and medications.
Dr. de Linde Henriksen is originally from Denmark where she received her DVM degree in 2005 from University of Copenhagen. Her comparative ophthalmology residency was performed at University of Florida and her PhD in equine ophthalmology is from University of Copenhagen/University of Florida.
Dr. Henriksen has worked as an assistant professor in comparative ophthalmology at CSU since July 2017. She came to CSU from University of Minnesota where she worked as a clinical assistant professor in comparative ophthalmology for four years (2013-2017).
Dr. Henriksen loves mountain hiking with her French bulldog ‘Frieda’ in her spare time.
More InfoDr. McMullen began pursuing his higher education during his military service in Germany, obtaining his veterinary degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McMullen teaches classes in ophthalmology and conducts research in the area of vision, equine recurrent uveitis and immune mediated keratitis, particularly, novel methods of disease management by intravitreal injections and photodynamic therapy. Dr. McMullen is a Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Opthalmologists; Diplomate, European College of Veterinary Opthalmologists; Certificate of Additional Qualification, Equine Opthalmology, Zusatzeichnung Augenheilkunde – Pferde (Germany). He holds veterinary licenses in Alabama and in Germany, and has received numerous professional honors and awards in the United States and Europe.
