CONTENT DESCRIPTION
Neither laparoscopy nor thoracoscopy are commonly performed surgical procedures in equine hospitals worldwide. An international panel of world-renowned laparoscopic surgeons will share their thoughts on indications, applications and useful tips and tricks with the attendees covering the most commonly performed laparoscopic surgeries (ovariectomy, cryptorchidectomy, nephrosplenic closure etc.). The use of laparoscopy for diagnostic purposes, to harvest biopsy samples, for correction of foaling-related uterine and bladder trauma, haemorrhage control and to manage post-castration infections will also be discussed. A portion of this session will also be is devoted to thoracoscopy which is less frequently performed.
There will be plenty of opportunity for attending veterinarians to ask questions and share their own experience with the group.
* Participants are encouraged to send in questions to info@vetpd.com prior to the panel discussion. There will also be the opportunity to raise questions during the discussion.
