CONTENT DESCRIPTION
Any anaesthetic protocol will have an important impact on the cardiovascular and respiratory function of horses. A good understanding of the normal physiology of these systems, and how they are affected by the different drugs, the procedure and the body position, are vital to perform safe anaesthesia. This webinar aims to provide the basic knowledge required to properly prevent or treat cardiovascular and respiratory complications during equine anaesthesia.
Alison graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2007 and initially completed a 12 month equine internship in the South of England. She holds the RCVS Advanced Practitioner certificate in Equine Medicine. Alison was appointed as a lecturer in Equine Anaesthesia in 2017 and is currently studying towards the European Diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia.
