An international panel of world-leading equine surgeons with extensive experience in equine standing surgery will highlight the factors that need to be considered in case selection of horses suitable for standing fracture repair and arthroscopy. Optimal surgical theater set-up, and operating team preparations to maximise the chances of a successful outocome of these procedures will be discussed.

The case-based approach of this exchange, with panelists sharing invaluable tips & tricks, will emphasize the judgment and technical adjustments that are needed to minimize errors, improve quality of surgical treatment and especially its speed. With intra-operative complications potential problems of any surgical procedure, the panelists will describe their response and the intra-op adjustments they have made to correct the problems or mitigate their significance.
