Christiana relocated from the USA to the UK in 2015. She graduated from the Virginia- Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.

She has 20 years of extensive experience in equine sports medicine and managing the competition horse. Her primary interests include purchase exams, lameness, management and rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries, regenerative medicine, and sports medicine especially related to the three-day event horse.

Her practice in the USA was located in Middleburg, Virginia and Ocala, Florida, where she was the Team Veterinarian for the Canadian Eventing Team for 10 years through three World Equestrian Games and two Olympic Games. She has been Team veterinarian for the New Zealand Eventing Team since 2015. She served as Team veterinarian for both the New Zealand Eventing and Show jumping Teams at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina in 2018. She also serves as a Team Vet for USA Show jumping at occasional shows in the UK and Europe.

She is FEI qualified as both a permitted treating veterinarian and as a veterinary delegate for three-day eventing. She comes from a competitive running background in university and has completed 7 full Ironman Triathlons including the World Championships in Hawaii. She likes to spend her free time cycling, and most importantly spending time with her husband, Andre Buthe, and their son Luca.

Melanie, a dual Belgian-USA citizen completed in 2005 a degree in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences University of Liege. Subsequently she completed an equine internship at the Royal veterinary College in London. During this internship she also passed the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) licensing her to practice veterinary medicine in the US and Canada. Upon completion of her internship, she joined a private practice in Cheshire U.K where she worked for several years. In 2010 she opened her private practice in Belgium specialising in pre-purchase exams and orthopaedics for sport horses for local and cross Atlantic clients for horses in the EU.In  2015 she was asked to become one of the team veterinarian for the  Belgian equestrian team. In that capacity she has accompanied the team to multiple CSI and CDI events including the 2018 World equestrian games held in Tryon, 2020 Olympic Games held in Tokyo and the 2022 World equestrian games held in Herning.

Dr. Philippe Benoit graduated from the French Vet School of Alfort in 1991, and then did his military service with the Republican Horse Guards in Paris.

He completed a residency in Sport Medicine and Nutrition for 2 years at Alfort Vet School, and became in 1993 Team Vet for the French Jumping team and participated with the Team and with individuals to a total of 4 Olympic Games, and 5 World Equestrian Games.

His practice in France next to Versailles is shared with a partner and 3 associates, where sport medicine, imaging and follow-up of high-level jumpers and dressage horses are part of his daily work.

More recently Dr. Benoit has been member of the FEI Veterinary Committee, and likes to participate as a lecturer to many seminars, also based on clinical evaluation, imaging and sport medicine follow up of the horse athlete.

Dr. Benoit lives most of his time now in California, and continues lecturing and private consulting of sport horses.

He is married with 4 children. His wife Kate, also a vet, does acupuncture and chiropractic.

He enjoys horseback riding (has been 5th at World Student Championship), sailing and wine tasting.

Dr. Tim Ober is the US showjumping team veterinarian since 1999. He has cared for some of the most famous horses in showjumping and experienced multiple Olympic and World Championship medal wins. He joined Steele and Associates in 2001 and has practices based in Gordonsville, Virginia and Wellington, Florida.
