After graduating from the University of Zürich in 1989, Christoph undertook postgraduate training at Zürich completing an Internship and then a Residency in Large Animal Surgery in the Division of Veterinary Surgery. Appointment to a Senior Lectureship in Large Animal Surgery in 1997 was followed in 2001 by the position of Assistant Professor of Equine surgery. From 2006 to 2009 Christoph held the position of Chair of Equine Surgery at the University of Glasgow Veterinary School, and was based in the Weipers Centre for Equine Welfare. In October 2009 he was appointed as Director of the Equine Clinic of the Freie Universität of Berlin. Christoph has received education in equine acupuncture in both the USA and China, and is a certified member of the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. In 1997 Christoph became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgery. From 2003 to 2007 he was a member of the exam committee, from 2007 to 2010 he was on the board of ECVS and this year he is president of the organization.

Christoph’s clinical interests are broad and include orthopaedic surgery and diagnostic imaging as well as abdominal surgery and diagnostic and surgical laparoscopy. A particular area of expertise is fracture repair and as a result he teaches (as a member of Faculty) equine fracture repair courses that are organized by AO-Vet. Current research activities include the evaluation of new technologies to improve fracture repair a arthrodesis, including new orthopaedic implants and 3-dimensional, intra-operative imaging.

Fabrice was graduated in 1994 from National Veterinary School of Toulouse (South of France).  He Joined the equine clinic of Grosbois near Paris just after, and became partner in 1998. He became an ECVS diplomate in 2010. Fabrice is a senior surgeon at the Equine clinic of Grosbois and Clinic of Chantllly, which are part of the Altano group. He has a 100% activity in surgery and has a major interest in upper airway surgery and fracture repair. He is involved in several research projects in larynx physiology and biomechanics and laryngeal reinnervation. He is also a member of the AOVET Large Animal Expert Group and Faculty since 2016 and is active in the development of new orthopedic implants. When is not working, Fabrice likes also race horses, travelling and skiing.

Kati Glass received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Texas A&M University. She completed an equine rotating internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Ocala, Florida before returning to Texas A&M for a large animal surgery residency. She became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in Large Animal Surgery in 2017. She joined the TAMU faculty in 2017 as a Clinical Assistant Professor with primary roles are in patient care and clinical student teaching on the Equine Sports Medicine & Imaging Service, Equine Orthopedic Surgery Service, Equine Soft Tissue Surgery Service, and Food Animal Surgery Service. She has presented nationally and internationally on topics including orthopedic surgery, lameness, and advanced imaging in equine lameness evaluation. She is also a faculty member of the international organization AOVET, focused on education and hands-on training for veterinary orthopedic surgeons.
