Dr. Berger qualified from Iowa State University in 2007 and worked in small animal practice for some years before returning to academia. He is currently an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, with research interests that include clinical pharmacology and the management of allergic hypersensitivity disorders.

Jérôme graduated in 2012 from the Université of Liège. After an internship followed by a few years in general practice and finally by a residency in dermatology, he became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2021. He now works in different Belgian clinics and has a strong interest in continuing education, being involved in numerous training programs for general practitioners throughout Belgium.

Dr. McKay received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 2003. She went on to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Berwyn and VCA Aurora and then completed a three-year residency in Dermatology at VCA Aurora in 2007. She became board certified in dermatology that same year. Dr. McKay has served on several committees of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (including the Credentials Committee) and is currently on the Organizing Committee for the North American Veterinary Dermatology Forum. She is actively involved in continuing education speaking locally and nationally.

She also enjoys clinical research and has participated in numerous dermatology trials studying novel therapies for canine atopic dermatitis and pruritus. Dr. McKay has also published many articles on various aspects of dermatology. Dr. McKay offers total management of allergies including skin testing, serum testing, and allergen-specific immunotherapy, as well as diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune disease, alopecias, and chronic or recurrent pyoderma, otitis and pododermatitis. Dr. McKay and her dermatology technicians place a high value on client communication and dedication to excellence in dermatology and look forward to helping dogs and cats with their dermatology needs.

Dr. Cole is a Professor and Section Head of Dermatology and Otology at The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, USA where she has one of the only integrated otology services to offer comprehensive diagnostics including video otoscopy, radiographic imaging (computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging) and brain-stem auditory evoked responsive testing. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where she received her DVM. She completed her Residency in Dermatology and obtained her Master of Science at The Ohio State University and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. Her publications include over 50 articles and book chapters and she has presented over 200 seminars nationally and internationally. She is involved in teaching and training of the veterinary students and dermatology residents. She is one of the pioneers in the use of video otoscopy for diagnosis and management of otic disease. Her research interests include infectious otitis externa and otitis media, Primary Secretory Otitis Media in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and brain-stem auditory evoked response (BAER) testing.
