CONTENT DESCRIPTION

Acute blood loss in horses often requires quick decision-making about medical and surgical management, including whether a blood transfusion is needed.

Join our international multidisciplinary panel of world-renowned experts who will share insights from an emergency & critical care, surgery, and internal medicine perspective.  They will discuss their approaches to haemorrhagic shock, haemolysis, and coagulopathy, via case examples and share useful practical tips & tricks.  Through the discussion of cases this exchange will very much focus on realistic scenarios encountered in busy practices and clinics/hospitals.

As part of this interactive discussion attendees will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share their own experience as the panelists debate the merits of transfusion triggers, adjunctive haemostatic treatments, and viscoelastic testing etc..
