PANEL DISCUSSION DESCRIPTION
Join us for an engaging Contura Vet discussion exploring the physico-chemical properties of 2.5% injectable polyacrylamide hydrogel and the research behind its use. This session will provide valuable insights into its practical application in managing joint pain and pathology in equine performance athletes, covering key aspects such as case selection and post-treatment management. Designed for veterinary professionals, this event will deepen your understanding of how 2.5% iPAAG can be integrated into treatment strategies for optimal outcomes.
Born and raised in rural Australia on a mix farm, Leigh grew up around racing and rodeo. Leigh graduated from Massey in 2008 and worked in a large equine hospital in western Victoria before taking up a position as the private veterinarian for Qatar Bloodstock in the UK. Leigh is now at Matamata Vet Services Equine Hospital in New Zealand and his interests include sports medicine and lameness and is keen on advancing the management of the equine athlete to get maximum performance, whether it be polo, dressage, eventing, show jumping or racing. When not at work Leigh can be found working on his farm, at the gym or grooming for his wife at her dressage competitions.
